台北電影節 Taipei Film Festival - 台北電影節首屆於1998年舉辦，其前身為始於1988年的「中時晚報電影獎」，該獎項自1994年起更名為「台北電影獎」，當年分為商業映演類及非商業映演類提名並給獎，彰顯獨立、非主流的精神挖掘多元的影像作品。自1998年起，臺北市政府加入主辦行列，於台北電影獎增設「百萬首獎」，並在台北電影獎之外舉辦國際電影觀摩，為台灣第一個城市主辦的影展。台北電影節自2007年成為隸屬於台北市文化基金會的常設單位。每年於夏季舉辦，在競賽及觀摩影展外，並常舉辦電影相關活動，增加市民參與。
